Responsibility
Thoughtful choices shape every product, reflecting our vision for a greener, balanced world where design, craftsmanship and responsibility go hand in hand.

Designed and Crafted in Denmark
As part of the Bjerrum Nielsen Group, Mutebox builds on a legacy of responsible Danish production. For decades, Bjerrum Nielsen has set the standard for craftsmanship rooted in quality, integrity, and care for people and the environment.
We continue that tradition by operating under a clear code of conduct covering fair labor, anti-corruption, human rights, and environmental responsibility. Our production in Denmark enables us to maintain close proximity to our supply chain, ensuring that every booth is crafted with transparency and accountability.

and certified fabrics.

Walk the Talk
What we say is what we do. Our sustainability strategy focuses on reducing our environmental footprint. By using recycled materials and certified fabrics sourced locally and within Europe, we cut CO2 emissions, support responsible production.
The steel for our boxes is made of 50 % recycled steel and sourced only 19 kilometers from the site.
The interior of our boxes is lined with foam made from 100 % recycled materials. We fully comply with both REACH and RoHS standards.
50 % of the felt we used comes from PET waste.
All glass components are produced in Denmark and made of 20-35 % recycled glass.
Cradle-to-cradle fabrics from Gabriel Cura Loop.
Sustainable material options with minimal CO₂-footpris from Leap® and Søuld.
Each fabric holds the Oeko-Tex certification.
We employ adhesives that are water-based, ensuring a safer production process and environmental health.

Built to Last, Easy to Fix
Our products are built to last and easy to maintain. Worn or damaged parts can be swapped out effortlessly. This not only extends the life of your Mutebox, but also reflects our commitment to reducing waste and supporting a circular economy.
Supporting Growing Trees Network Foundation
This Danish NGO Growing Trees Network Foundation works on reforestation in Denmark and West Africa by planting trees, educating communities on its importance, and collaborating with local organizations to advance sustainable forestry. Their efforts combat climate change, support biodiversity, and benefit local communities both economically and environmentally.
Through our partnership with the Growing Trees Network Foundation, more than 2,260 trees have been planted in Mejrup Biodiversitetsskov.
